Pink Shirt Day

It’s about creating a community where all people feel safe, valued and respected, regardless of gender identity, sexual orientation, age, ability, religion or cultural background.

Pink Shirt Day is Friday 17th May and is all about working together to stop bullying, by celebrating diversity and promoting kindness and inclusiveness. It is the day that Aotearoa comes together and takes a stand. The Mental Health Foundation of NZ has run the campaign since 2012 and there are various ways you can get involved – whether it’s a bake sale, hosting a ‘pink’ casual Friday and asking staff to donate, buying the official Pink Shirt Day t-shirt or simply embracing diversity through kōrero.
