🕚 Time: 11am – 2pm daily

This special activation extends our Māori Language Week celebrations, giving families a chance to explore a traditional Māori artform together.

WHY THE POI?
The Poi has deep cultural roots in Aotearoa. Traditionally used by Māori to tell stories through song and movement, it helps with coordination, rhythm, and is a beautiful symbol of Te Ao Māori (the Māori world). By creating your own Poi, you’re not just making a fun craft — you’re engaging with a living culture and celebrating the spirit of Mātauranga Māori (Māori knowledge).

Don’t miss a fun craft here at Hunters Plaza these School Holidays!
